Getting really excited now!

So, today has been my first full day off work. The Missi Supporters' facebook page is getting busy. There's a real buzz with friends and family willing the crew onto Rio.

Skipper Greg's wife, Dawn forwarded on an email from hubby that really lifted the spirits. He actually pinned down an ETA of 30th Sept +- a day. I'll be holding him to it!

Missi is well and truly on her way averaging 8 Kts. She's been on her particular tack for 65 NMs - a good sign that the wind is being consistent.

More and more boats are holding court with Neptune as they cross the Equator. Clipper has been good and have posted several pictures from the boats. I would be bowled over if there's a picture from Missi with Ali in it!

We're (Ali's Mum and me!) still waiting for Ali to author a crew diary entry - she's been a bit shy so far!

Talking of crew diaries, today's has been from Lavinia Darby. It's weird, you tend to read each diary entry over and over - hanging on every word. Looking for clues as to how they're fareing. Are there any problems and how fast do they think they're going?

Reading Lavinia's entry, these words jumped out:

Spirits are high again onboard, we are heading directly towards Rio now and soon our ETA will be less than one week.

Wow! Let's hope she's right!
