It has been a mixed bag today! We have had lulls where we
were stuck in what seemed to be the only wind hole in the area and we are
currently in "Champagne" sailing mode minus the G&Ts of course!
Mission Performance and the Warriors gybed south today heading for the Spanish coast and Cape Finisterre on the north west corner of northern Spain. We have definitely noticed the change in the weather tonight. There is no bite in the air and the skies are clear, no head torches required tonight!
As we approach the coast of Spain and then today move down the coast towards Portugal, the weather is getting warmer and I reckon that the cold weather kit will be going away and more of the summer kit will be making an appearance! So glad that "Budgie smugglers" are off the menu!
We have been in the vicinity of some of the other yachts for most of the day, IchorCoal, Da Nang-Viet Nam, PSP Logistics, then later we spotted Visit Seattle and Unicef on Automatic Identification System (AIS), then when we gybed tonight we were joined by ClipperTelemed+ who are currently on our port quarter following us down to the Cape.
Morale on board Mission Performance is high and all are pleased that we have crossed one of the milestones of the trip with the infamous Bay of Biscay almost behind us.
I’m feeling good, fresh pants today I think!
Until Tomorrow Mission Performance Warriors, Out For Now.
